April Promotion Ideas

National Lawn Care Month

Since 1992, this month-long  initiative  has focused  on heightening  public  awareness about the

benefits of natural grass and educating  people about how to  best care for   lawns. Help landscape design and maintenance companies spread the word -  and  promote their businesses - with consumer outreach that includes promotional products. Think trowel-shaped seed paper, tree-shaped  magnets, solar-powered  dancing  flowers and more.

School Library Month

Every April, the American Association of School Librarians encourages librarians to create

activities that demonstrate the value of strong school library programs. Support that  effort with

school-branded bookmarks, pencils and reading award bracelets for students. Partnering with PTA members or school administrators could be the most efficient inĀ route to this business.

Prevention of Animal  Cruelty  Month

From retail chain stores to local dentists, the list of potential prospects is long. Pitch pet bandannas, collapsible  pet  food bowls and pet food can  covers.

National Autism Awareness Month

This is an excellent time to promote autism awareness, and acceptance, and bring attention to the tens of thousands that have a diagnosis in the autism spectrum. Show your support by handing out branded puzzle-shaped post its, stress relievers, and pens, as well as,  coloring books, jewelry, to name a few.

National  Beer Day/April 7

This suds-soaked day celebrates the date in 1933 that it became legal for Americans to buy real

beer again following   Prohibition. Bars, brewpubs and craft brewers could hold fun events and/or have beer releases. Help their patrons remember the good times with branded can coolers and keychain bottle poppers.

Record Store Day/April  15

Hundreds of record stores across the country will celebrate the creative culture of their shops  with special events.  Provide T-shirts, pins and  hoodies.

Administrative Professionals Week April 23-29

Organizations of all sizes can thank administrative professionals  with  branded  gifts.  Seek to

partner with corporations  where there are a large number  of admins.  Earbuds and mobile device accessories  make practical  gifts most people  will  appreciate.

National  Volunteer  Week April 23-29

Nonprofits that rely on volunteers are ideal clients for this week-long initiative. Connect clients

with branded merchandise bearing graphics and messaging that conveys the nonprofits' core mission. For instance, volunteers for an ocean clean-up nonprofit might appreciate sunglasses with a wave  design along the  temples.
